Revit MEP Online training in Chennai
Revit MEP is a powerful Building Information Modeling (BIM) software that is commonly used for designing, drafting, and analyzing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings. One of its key features is the ability to generate schedules and quantities based on the information contained in the model.
To create a schedule in Revit MEP, you will need to follow these steps:
- Open your Revit MEP model and select the view where you want to create the schedule.
- Go to the View tab in the ribbon and click on the Schedule dropdown menu.
- Select the type of schedule you want to create (e.g. Mechanical Equipment Schedule, Duct Schedule, Pipe Schedule, etc.).
- In the Schedule Properties dialog box, choose the parameters that you want to include in the schedule, such as family type, size, length, volume, pressure drop, etc.
- Click on OK to create the schedule.
Once you have created the schedule, Revit MEP will automatically populate it with the relevant information from your model. You can customize the appearance and formatting of the schedule to suit your needs. You can also sort and filter the data in the schedule to make it easier to read and analyze.
To generate quantities in Revit MEP, you can use the Quantity Takeoff tool. This tool allows you to select specific elements in your model (such as pipes, ducts, and equipment) and generate a report that lists their quantities and properties. To use the Quantity Takeoff tool, you will need to follow these steps:
- Open your Revit MEP model and select the elements that you want to include in the quantity report.
- Go to the Analyze tab in the ribbon and click on the Quantity Takeoff dropdown menu.
- Select the type of report you want to create (e.g. Pipe Schedule, Duct Schedule, Equipment Schedule, etc.).
- In the Quantity Takeoff dialog box, choose the parameters that you want to include in the report, such as quantity, length, area, volume, weight, etc.
- Click on OK to generate the report.
Once you have generated the report, Revit MEP will display a table that lists the quantities and properties of the selected elements. You can customize the appearance and formatting of the report to suit your needs. You can also export the report to Excel or other formats for further analysis or sharing.
